*1st Race @ 1.10pm & ALL Races carry a BOBS Silver Bonus available up to $9,625.00

*Track likely Soft 5 & Rail out +6m from 800m to the WP; +4m the Remainder:

*RACE 1 @ 1.10pm WESTPAC RESCUE HELICOPTER – rescuehelicopter.com.au 1800 155 155 – CLASS 1 & MAIDEN PLATE (1600m) – Set Weights; Apprentices Can Claim:

We start with one of the more open races on the card, with naturally a stack of chances. Local four-year-old Hallowed Crown mare 12. MARTIAN QUEEN (Stephen Jones/Ms Alysha Collett; 55.5kg) revelled in the heavy ground here to land her maiden third-up off a lengthy break. Was backed in from double figure odds that day, and again can be tucked away back in the field with plenty of cover, and be saved for one last surge. Well over the odds in a wide battle.

*MAIN DANGERS: Emerging provincial four-year-old 5. Full Coverage can keep progressing, getting out to the mile second-up after digging in for a tough maiden win at Tamworth. Another one improving, 6. Onehero finished strongly in a BM 58 at home after surging late to win his maiden, and the more rain the better. Progressive Warwick Farm colt 14. Feudalist rounded them up nicely at her third start in heavy ground at Nowra, and with a little weight drop is well capable of figuring in this tougher test. Watch the betting on nice mare 9. Stonesthrow who didn’t fire a shot second-up in a deeper provincial race, but has trialled since in smart fashion.

Likely Tempo: Reasonable to Solid

My Betting Attack: MARTIAN QUEEN Each Way and Trifecta: 5,6,12/5,6,9,12,14/5,6,9,12,14

*RACE 2 @ 1.50pm PRYDE’S EASIFEED – prydes.com.au 1300 732 267 – MAIDEN PLATE (1300m) – Set Weights; Apprentices Can Claim:

She’s had little or no luck in four runs this prep, but capable four-year-old Newcastle mare 7. JUST LIKE LISA (David Atkins/TBA) can strike at her ninth start. Suited on a somewhat firmer surface, and she’s much better placed drawn further out on this track where she can ease to the outside at the 500m.

*MAIN DANGERS: Big fan of the decision to step provincial three-year-old 9. Ciao Bicky immediately up to this distance after working home fairly here on debut. Gap to the rest, but included in exotics four-year-old mare 5, Decadent Tale at her second start; and improving local mare 6. Haven third-up.

Likely Tempo: Solid

My Betting Attack: JUST LIKE LISA Each Way and Trifecta: 7,9/5,6,7,9/5,6,7,9

*RACE 3 @ 2.25pm THE HUNTED GOURMET – 148 Kelly St Scone 0407 781 871 – MAIDEN PLATE (1100m) – Set Weights; Apprentices Can Claim:

The first starters look to have this set weights maiden sprint by the throat. Striking three-year-old Panzer Division filly 12. LADY FRAULEIN (Ciaron Maher & David Eustace/Reece Jones a0kg; 55kg) is ready to rock on debut for one of the top metropolitan stables. Out of a Sebring mare, and won the first of two recent trials in heavy ground with enough in hand.

*MAIN DANGERS: Capable and fit four-year-old mare 15. Minniti is more likely to run in the next race. Blotted her very consistent run of placings here last time when doing too much work early over 900m, and if she starts here is much better off back out to this trip on a firmer track. Keep safe four-year-old provincial Eurozone mare 4. Save Your Kisses who debuts off two trials, winning the latest; while three-year-old Dawn Approach colt 6. Just One Look also kicks off his career after winning the second of two recent trials in easy fashion. Include another provincial-based first starter, three-year-old colt 8. Pacheco if you’re playing the trifectas and first fours.

Likely Tempo: Solid to Good

My Betting Attack: LADY FRAULEIN to WIN

*RACE 4 @ 3.05pm NATIONAL JOCKEYS TRUST – info@njt.org.au – MAIDEN HCP (900m) – Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:

Always a quick-fire test of nerves and early positioning over this short course. Have a nice opinion of three-year-old Extreme Choice filly 10. DON’T DOUBT KATIE (Nathan Doyle/TBA; 55kg) who finished off well on debut at Tamworth without getting a lot of room. Three weeks between runs coming back to this distance on a suitably bigger track stacks up beautifully. Drawn the outside gate, but she’ll settle well back and come with one sustained run.

*MAIN DANGERS: Local four-year-old 1. Mackinaw looked home first-up as a gelding for the new stable, but was nailed in the last stride at Moree. Blinkers have been added, and a much stronger rider goes on so expect him to progress significantly. Improving four-year-old 4. Squeeak found the on-speed pressure too much on debut here in a stronger maiden, but can improve sharply over this shorter trip with blinkers removed. If 3. Minniti does start here, she will appreciate a good speed up front, but can’t afford to get too far back from the draw over this trip.

Likely Tempo: Good to Strong

My Betting Attack: DON’T DOUBT KATIE Each Way and Trifecta: 1,10/1,3,4,10/1,3,4,10

*RACE 5 @ 3.40pm EMIRATES PARK – emiratespark.com.au – CLASS 2 HCP (1300m) – Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:

Talented home track four-year-old mare 7. CHOMEUR (Cameron Crockett/Reece Jones a0kg; 57kg) has more than enough natural ability, and can claim a third win from five starts this prep. Finished best to win a deeper race at Dubbo two starts back before strong through the line beating all but the winner in a much tougher Highway at Rosehill. Rates well on top!

*MAIN DANGERS: Progressive four-year-old mare 2. Empowerment made it two from three this prep, surging home from just behind the speed, and draws well again for this tougher test. Provincial five-year-old 3. Berruti was very good last start here, covering plenty of ground and sustaining a big finish on the outside rail to beat all but the winner. Is at peak fitness now, and should find this a little easier. Tough provincial five-year-old 8. Oakfield Navajo is consistent enough, and must be included in exotics.

Likely Tempo: Solid

My Betting Attack: CHOMEUR to WIN and Quinella: 2 & 7

*RACE 6 @ 4.20pm ARROWFIELD – arrowfield.com.au (02) 9909 5555 or (02) 6545 3999 – BENCHMARK 58 HCP (900m) – Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:

Back over the flying short-course, and strong front-running four-year-old 1. SUPERIOR WITNESS (Luke Thomas/Jackson Searle a3kg; 60kg) can bounce back. Was only run down late by a smart and exciting filly on a heavy track at Taree, and back 100m in trip under the same weight with an important 3kg claim, makes him the one to catch.

*MAIN DANGERS: Progressive local mare 3. Baiyka finally fulfilled recent promise sweeping home out wide to win a similar race, although not convinced the inside draw does her any favours up in weight late in the meeting. Keep safe metropolitan four-year-old 2. Ballistic Moon who resumes off a nice provincial trial win; and six-year-old mare 7. Alchera first-up from a good draw.

Likely Tempo: Good

My Betting Attack: SUPERIOR WITNESS to WIN

*RACE 7 @ 4.55pm KIA ORA – kiaorastudscone.com.au (02) 6543 7105 – BENCHMARK 58 HCP (1100m) – Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:

We wrap up the card with a deep and fairly open sprint, and there are plenty of chances. Progressive and lightly raced four-year-old local mare 3. MISS KINGSTON (Simon Casey/Ms Alysha Collett; 58.5kg) is headed for much better races than this. Charged home from a mile back here to miss by a whisker before again producing a dominant final surge to claim her maiden. Will likely be forced even further back this time, drawn right off the track, but she only needs clear air from the 400m to round them up in style.

*MAIN DANGERS: Home track six-year-old 1. Deploys Alone can improve sharply fourth-up back on a more suitable and bigger course. Don’t discard under-rated six-year-old mare 5. Mosht Up who will settle back from the draw and get home late; while included in exotics seven-year-old 12. Dragoneight who also likes to finish hard from well back; and five-year-old mare 7. Owhata Crumpet who is over the odds deep into her prep.

Likely Tempo: Good

My Betting Attack: MISS KINGSTON to WIN and Trifecta: 1,3/1,3,5,7,12/1,3,5,7,12
