*1st Race @ 1.15pm & ALL Races carry a BOBS Silver Bonus available up to $9,625.00; while Race 1 also offers a BOBS Extra Bonus of $5,625.00

*Track likely improving to Soft 5 & Rail out +6m from 800m to WP; & +4m the Remainder:

*RACE 1 @ 1.15pm THANK YOU HEATH COURTNEY CLASS 1 & MAIDEN PLATE (2200m) – Set Weights; Apprentices Can Claim:

Improving and honest provincial four-year-old 6. DUNLEE (Damien Lane/Matthew Palmer; 56.5kg) is ready to break through at set weights fifth-up this prep, and at his 15th attempt. Has been working home okay in deeper races, and the longer trip and bigger track come at the perfect time.

*MAIN DANGERS: Improving four-year-old 1. Finney should also hit a peak deep into the prep after finishing off well in a similar graded race at Tamworth in heavy ground. Expect five-year-old 3. Promesa to bounce back on a better surface after dropping out badly here eight days ago. Had previously hit the line well in that same Tamworth race, and a far more accomplished rider is back on. From that same formline, local mare 5. Lime And Sugar did her best work late, and will relish being back on the bigger track.

Likely Tempo: Fair

My Betting Attack: DUNLEE Each Way & Trifecta: 1,6/1,3,5,6/1,3,5,6

*RACE 2 @ 1.50pm RIDGMONT FARM – 101 Segenhoe Rd, Segenhoe; 0409 275 729 – COLTS, GELDINGS & ENTIRES MAIDEN HCP (1400m) – Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:

Not a lot of depth here in what could well be a battle of tactics and tempo. Like the debut placement for Vadamos two-year-old gelding 3. EL SUPER (Annabel Neasham/Christian Reith; 56.5kg) who was a $150K “Ready to Run” purchase in NZ, and has looked strong in two progressive trials. Bred to get further being by a high class European who won a Group 1 at 1600m and Listed race at 2400m, and this looks an ideal starting point on a suitably big track.

*MAIN DANGERS: Consistent three-year-old 1. Poseidon Ruler has been close-up in two runs back, jumping up sharply in distance last start. Will look to come over from the wider draw and take control. Capable 2. River Tycoon can mix his form and drops back from the mile, but draws well with blinkers reapplied. Included in exotics two-year-old 5. Apache Doc who has shown solid improvement in three runs to start his career.

Likely Tempo: Moderate to Reasonable

My Betting Attack: EL SUPER to WIN

*RACE 3 @ 2.25pm SRC MEMBERS – sconeraceclub.com.au – FILLIES & MARES MAIDEN HCP (1400m) – Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:

Now for the girls’ edition where punters can look forward to payback time. Provincial three-year-old Kermadec filly 3. SUPREME PLAY (Wayne Seelin/Ms Mikayla Weir; 59kg) was flat as a biscuit here at her third start when well fancied in the market. That said, she has more than enough ability, and the eight day back-up on an improving track are big pointers in her favour.

*MAIN DANGERS: Capable Hawkesbury filly 1. Eminencia has ability, and missed out narrowly fourth-up in her first prep. Draws off the track, but right at peak fitness. Include in exotics local three-year-old filly 6. Swiss Scent fifth-up.

Likely Tempo: Fair

My Betting Attack: SUPREME PLAY to WIN & Quinella: 1 and 3

*RACE 4 @ 3.00pm KOSCIUSZKO TICKETS ON SALE COUNTRY MAIDEN PLATE (1100m) – Set Weights; Apprentices Can Claim:

Very keen on Tamworth three-year-old 3. HURN COURT (Sue Grills/Ashley Morgan; 59kg) who was good late first-up on a bog track, and normally holds his form well into the next run. Will appreciate the bigger track, and an in-form and stronger rider has been booked.

*MAIN DANGERS: Plenty of intrigue surrounding ex-Kiwi four-year-old 16. Rockamo if he gets a run resuming as a gelding. Scored a strong trial win, and the new country stable has made a string of gear changes. Consistent three-year-old 5. The Regular Show has been placed in three straight runs over 1000m, although will have to get across from a tough draw. Keeping safe local three-year-old 3. Eureka who worked home okay on debut here, and drew to get a soft run; while three-year-old filly 8. Gold Lunar is the best of the rest, resuming on her home track.

Likely Tempo: Solid to Good

My Betting Attack: HURN COURT to WIN

*RACE 5 @ 3.35pm STABLE WIZARD – stablewizard.com (02) 8001 6347 – CLASS 1 HCP (1200m) – Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:

Got a stack of time for promising three-year-old Dubbo filly 4. ARTIE’S AURA (Kody Nestor/Anthony Cavallo; 58.5kg) who resumes with winkers being added. Looks ready to go off a smart trial win, and charged home on debut back in late summer to smash her opposition by more than five lengths. The one to beat!

*MAIN DANGERS: Progressive two-year-old Press Statement filly 10. The Storm In Me was impressive finishing best first-up in heavy ground, and the longer sweeping run home here suits her pattern. Improving provincial filly 5. Empowerment is a threat fourth-up after landing her maiden two starts back, and then close-up in a handy Class 1. Included in exotics lightly raced filly 9. Miss Parmigiana after powering home late first-up; while last start local winner at the track 11. Spritza Seritza backs up in eight days down in weight for this tougher test.

Likely Tempo: Solid

My Betting Attack: How to play it: ARTIE’S AURA to WIN & Box Exacta: 4,5,10

*RACE 6 @ 4.10pm SCONE EQUINE HOSPITAL – sconeequinehospital.com.au 106 Liverpool St, Scone; info@sconeequine.com.au – BENCHMARK 58 HCP (1300m) – Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:

Tough home track five-year-old 2. NOWYUNOMI (Darren Egan/Aaron Bullock; 61kg) is still under-rated, and can make it two wins from his last three coming back in grade. Was a dominant closing winner of the Winter Series at Dubbo, then made a sustained run before the turn in a much tougher Highway until peaking late. Sharp rise in weight expected, but off-set by senior and strong country jockey going on.

*MAIN DANGERS: Progressive provincial mare 5. Louder is the immediate threat third-up after doing her best work late in a deeper BM 64 race at Kembla. Provincial mare 1. Pluck And Lucky surged home to beat a good BM 64 field two runs back before flat last start, but drops in grade, although the inside draw for an off-speed runner lumping a hefty 62.5kg is a tough ask. Keep safe Randwick filly 6. Princess Amira who resumes off a soft track trial win; while including provincial mare 4Hello Sunshine in wider exotics.

Likely Tempo: Solid

My Betting Attack: NOWYUNOMI Each Way; Quinella: 2 & 5; and Trifecta: 2,5/1,2,4,5,6/1,2,4,5,6

*RACE 7 @ 4.45pm CALYX AT COOLMORE – coolmore.com (02) 6576 4200 or 0412 344; 566 info@coolmore.com.au – AUSTRALIA BENCHMARK 58 HCP (1000m) – Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:

Competitive and open sprint to wrap the meeting. Keen about seven-year-old Cessnock mare 3. ISLAND GRANGE (Jeremy Sylvester/Aaron Bullock; 59.5kg) resuming with blinkers off for a new stable. Draws to get a handy trail, and can come to hand quickly behind a nice trial.

*MAIN DANGERS: Home track three-year-old filly 7. Baiyka has had three mixed runs back when well in the market, although pulled up with a respiratory condition last time. Little drop back in trip is a plus, but she needs to savage the line. Tough provincial mare 2. Enamour has been given nearly 11 weeks since a dominant front-running win in similar grade. Carries the same weight after the claim, and will roll forward and give a sight fresh; while five-year-old 5. Chevron Prince is another one returning off a forward trial.

Likely Tempo: Good

My Betting Attack: ISLAND GRANGE Each Way & Box Trifecta: 2,3,5,7
