*1st Race @ 1.20pm & ALL Races carry a BOBS Silver Bonus available up to $9,625.00:

Track improving to Good 4 and Rail True

*RACE 1 @ 1.20pm SKY BIG SPORTS BREAKFAST MAIDEN PLATE (1400m) – Set Weights; Apprentices Can Claim:

We kick off a strong program with the maidens. Newcastle three-year-old filly 8. DISMISSAL (Nathan Doyle/Dylan Gibbons a2kg; 54.4kg) has been costly for short price punters despite working home from well back in her last couple on heavy tracks. This is her first time on a firm surface since last spring, and she gets in with a light weight after the new rider’s 2kg claim. Fit enough, and Ideally suited to the long sweeping run home here.

*MAIN DANGERS: Improving provincial three-year-old 4. Sir Bawn finished well at Muswellbrook in what looms as a solid form race, and this is a nice progressive trip from a soft draw. Watch the betting on 5. Sir Diamond who comes out of that same Muswellbrook maiden behind Annyidea; while 7. Diamond Kat can improve third-up back at home over more ground.

Likely Tempo: Reasonable

My Betting Attack: DISMISSAL to WIN and Quinella: 4 & 8

*RACE 2 @ 1.55pm DARLEY SCONE CUP MAY 14 BENCHMARK 66 HCP (1600m) – Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:

Good tactical battle here over the mile. Local five-year-old mare 5. HOLY EMPRESS (Scott Singleton/Billy “The Crayfish” Cray; 58kg) has never missed a place on her home track, and is drawn to get plenty of cover back in the field. Returns home off two fair provincial efforts, and is over the odds back on firm ground.

*MAIN DANGERS: Progressive mare and last-start Canberra winner 4. Vivid Art will be hard to run down if she controls the race in front, and is being ear-marked for better races. Provincial six-year-old 2. Dashing ‘N’ Daring is a tough and consistent finisher around this trip, but likely needs it wetter; while tough six-year-old 1. The Bald Eagle reaches his pet trip third-up, and big weight off-set with a 4kg claim.

Likely Tempo: Moderate to Fair

My Betting Attack: HOLY EMPRESS Each Way and Quinella 4 7 5

*RACE 3 @ 2.35pm NEWGATE STALLIONS MAIDEN HCP (900m) – Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:

Back to the short course, and very keen on local Outreach three-year-old 2. WEDGED (Brett Cavanough/Ashley Morgan; 58.5kg) having his first start for a leading stable. Scored a dominant trial win where he sat well off the fence and coasted down the outside to win easy in good time with plenty in the tank.

*MAIN DANGERS: Speedy provincial filly 3. Excelness has led and been run down late in two runs to start her career, and back to this distance looks a natural plus. Expect sharp improvement second-up on firmer ground from provincial filly 8. Vibrant who was heavily backed resuming; while improving filly 6. Luna Bea should be included in wider exotics at her fourth start.

Likely Tempo: Good to Strong

My Betting Attack: WEDGED to WIN and First Four 2,3/2,3,8/2,3,8/6,8

*RACE 4 @ 3.10pm INGLIS HTBA YEARLING SALE MAIDEN HCP (1100m) – Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:

Tough and testing sprint with plenty of chances. Really liked the way well bred debutant filly 8. ORBITAL EXPRESS (Jeremy Gask/Reece Jones a0kg; 56.5kg) recovered from a poor start to hit the line in a trial here five weeks ago, and the winner then scored impressively on debut at Dubbo. Trained on the track, she’s by Zoustar out of the multiple Group-winning race mare Avoid Lightning, and drawn out a bit will suit her .

*MAIN DANGERS: Improving Randwick colt 2. Magnitudo was only collared in the last few strides at Gosford, and will roll forward again. Tough four-year-old 1. Our Cousin Al hasn’t missed a place in three runs this prep, and leading jockey sticks fourth-up. Keep very safe another local three-year-old 5. Croesus who comes off an even debut when hard in the market; while provincial filly 11. Yesmeena resumes off two trials, and was scratched from Coffs on Monday to run here.

Likely Tempo: Solid to Good

My Betting Attack: ORBITAL EXPRESS Each Way and Trifecta: 2,8/1,2,5,8/1,2,5,8,11

*RACE 5 @ 3.50pm KIA ORA STUD CLASS 1 & MAIDEN PLATE (1600m) – Set Weights; Apprentices Can Claim:

Another challenging and bigger field, but under-rated Muswellbrook three-year-old 7. CASINO KID (Jan Bowen/Aaron “The Raging Bull” Bullock; 58.5kg) has been banging on the door all prep, and can break through fifth-up. Did his best work late here two runs back in a deeper race before sticking on at Mudgee to beat all bar the winner when well backed. Jockey change is very significant from the wider draw.

*MAIN DANGERS: Randwick four-year-old 1. Battenburg was very good resuming off an 18-month break at Goulburn, driving home to win despite sitting wide with no cover. Was Group 1 placed in the spring of 2019, and stepping up to the mile is a natural progression. Improving and lightly raced four-year-old 3. Circus Bound is over the odds after a dominant provincial maiden win in heavy ground. Include in exotics four-year-old mare 10. Liberty Fields who is hard fit; and local filly 11. Keen Contributer who drops in weight second-up.

Likely Tempo: Fair to Solid

My Betting Attack: CASINO KID to WIN and Box Exacta 1,3,7

*RACE 6 @ 4.25pm SEGENHOE STUD BENCHMARK 58 HCP (1400m) – Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:

Strong race for this grade. Big fan of smart three-year-old Newcastle filly 6. FALSE STEP (Kris Lees/Aaron “The Raging Bull” Bullock; 58.5kg) returning to where she won convincingly on debut last spring over 1300m. Has been fitted with two steady trials, and leading regular rider sticks like glue.

MAIN DANGERS: Tough four-year-old gelding 5. Dr Copper has been in the placings in four of his last five, generally working home from off the speed. Not overly well treated at the weights, but is screaming to win a second race over his pet distance. Keep safe improving mare 1. Chapelis who is weighted to her best, but swept home to win a BM 66 two runs back. Got plenty of time for five-year-old 4. Greenskeeper who worked home nicely resuming, and second-up form is solid enough for a smart stable. Honest six-year-old 3. The Outcast is a pure firm tracker, and looks over the odds from a soft draw; while 7. Dream Song is best of the rest, although has just about found every possible way to get beat when well in the market.

Likely Tempo: Fair to Solid

My Betting Attack: FALSE STEP to WIN and Box Exacta: 1,5,6

*RACE 7 @ 5.05pm EMIRATES PARK CLASS 2 HCP (1100m) – Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:

Nice sprint to close the meeting. Super duper keen on home track four-year-old 2. PRIMAL SCREAM (Cameron Crockett/Christian Reith; 59.5kg) second-up. Charged late to only miss by a whisker resuming in a handy CL3, and hasn’t missed a place from three second-up runs.

*MAIN DANGERS: Talented Warwick Farm filly 7. Deepstar has bounced to the front and given nothing else a chance in two country runs this prep. Drawn to lead again, but meeting some better ones here, and she may hear the footsteps late. Local four-year-old 3. Banju is yet to miss a place in eight career runs. Steps up in grade third-up after winning his maiden convincingly, and then close-up at Dubbo. Keep safe local four-year-old mare 5. Last Chance Dance after fighting on well from the front at Muswellbrook behind a very promising one.

Likely Tempo: Solid to Good

My Betting Attack: PRIMAL SCREAM to WIN
